During House floor debate this session, 4th District State State Rep. Suzanne Schmidt, spoke against Senate Bill 5123, which could compromise public safety in the work place.
The bill prohibits employers from discriminating against a person in hiring if the person's use of cannabis off the job and away from the workplace.
Schmidt says this is a matter of public safety and employers' rights to keep people safe.
